Working with clay is working with the result of sedimentary processes; preferring the hight temperature shocks, achieved through raku firing process, I synthesize dramatic reaction of materials. I push the primary elements of inorganic substance to their solid limit without completely interfering with their independent behaviors. I look at glazes as an archeologist looks at evidence. The ceramic material is exemplar of the relation with history and prehistory. The oxides recall the characteristic of the archeological excavations, in components and or in visual qualities. The superficial function of tiles is mirroring the emerging of such deep stratigraphy on the surface, on the facade of the actual landscapes.
